Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) – Affordable Generic Medicines

The Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) is a Government of India initiative launched in November 2008 to provide quality generic medicines at affordable prices. Under the scheme, dedicated outlets known as Jan Aushadhi Kendras supply low-cost medicines and surgical items, helping reduce out-of-pocket healthcare expenditure.

The scheme is implemented by the Pharma & Medical Bureau of India (PMBI).

Jan Aushadhi Sugam Mobile App

The Jan Aushadhi Sugam App (launched in 2019) enables users to locate nearby Kendras, search medicines, and compare prices between generic and branded drugs for better savings.
